SHORT-TERM RENTALS: IMPACTS ON TOURISM AND COMMUNITIES (SPECIAL ISSUE - December 2025)

This Special Issue seeks to advance a scholarly understanding of the dynamics surrounding short-term rentals (STRs) in diverse tourism territories. The aim is to identify sustainable practices across different territorial contexts and assess their impacts on communities, stakeholders, and emerging tourism trends.

STRs continue to reshape the tourism landscape and bring opportunities and challenges for destinations and local communities. Research contributions are encouraged to examine how STRs influence sustainable development, stakeholder collaboration, and community well-being while addressing pressing issues such as environmental impact, housing availability, and cultural preservation.

Potential manuscripts for this special issue may include, but are not limited to, the following topics:
